Master of Pharmacy ( M. Pharm )


For Centralized Admission

Candidate should be Bachelor of Pharmacy from AICTE approved institute with minimum 60% marks. GATE qualified candidates will be preferred. In case GATE qualified candidate are not available, admission will be given to those who are not GATE qualified on merit basis.

For Sponsored Seats

Candidate should be Bachelor of Pharmacy from AICTE approved institute with minimum 60% marks (55% marks for teachers, who have joined before 22/11/93, from any PCI approved pharmacy institute). Preference will be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified. The candidate should preferably have a minimum of two years’ full time work experience after graduation in registered/recognized firm/company/industry/educational and research institute / any government departments in the relevant field. (A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course. The sponsorship letter must accompany the application form. The relieving letter from the employer must be submitted at the time of admission.)

For Reserved Seats ( SC / ST )

Candidate should be Bachelor of Pharmacy from AICTE approved institute with minimum 55% marks.

Candidate belonging to this category must attach the caste certificate with certificate of validity.

Schedule of the Course

In order to obtain the M.Pharm degree, a candidate is required to pass two examinations viz. the first and second semesters of first year and should complete a thesis work in second year of M.Pharm as prescribed by the University of Mumbai.

In addition the students are also required to present a seminar on any one of the current research topic.

To pass each semester, the candidate must obtain at least:

- 50% of marks in each theory head and must pass in all the subjects as prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
