A warm hearted welcome to all of you to our Saraswati Vidya Bhavan's College of Pharmacy. This institution is of high reputation and commitment to offer you world class quality education and has all ingredients for creating successful career in pharmacy.
In SVBCP, the student pharmacists have excellent class room facilities and highly equipped laboratories, reading resources, sporting, theatrical, cultural activities, open space for recreation, good food and the entire required social and academic environment. The greatest contribution in accomplishing the progress of the institution is of the faculty, mentored erudite educationist who are highly experienced, qualified and trained in delivering the details of the pharmaceutical sciences and contents of the syllabi, to meet the needs and pace of learning of the individual budding pharmacist.
Knowledge and discipline form the pillars of SVBCP. Sincerity, industriousness and ambition are our hallmarks. The students are trained in such a way that they inculcate highly competitive knowledge and discipline, making them capable to undertake any task undauntedly to achieve their goals.
Pharma Quiz, a Maharashtra state level unique intercollegiate quiz contest, is organized and conducted by SVBCP to herald the knowledge of pharmacy students. Workshops, seminars and symposia are organized too. SVBCP has a career and placement committee for guiding the students. Around 95% of our final years graduating students are appearing for GPAT, MS - CET and other national level and GRE, TOEFEL and IELTS like international level competitive examinations, for their higher studies.
SVBCP students always win the Young Pharmacists Innovative Project Awards by channelizing the spark of their innovative research ideas, synergistically, with the esteemed guidance of our faculties. SVBCP graduates are admitted to the eminent universities and companies worldwide.
There is tremendous potential for growth of our college in various disciplines of pharmacy. In addition to the Pharmacognosy and Phythochemistry, we are planning to add more disciplines at post graduate level such as Pharmaceutical-Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. We are also planning to start short term courses in IPR and Clinical research. I also see an ample opportunity to collaborate with industries to resource their technology and infrastructure for advancement of our institution. In addition to the above mentioned technological advancements, yet more novel teaching and assessment methods are to be introduced for the better learning of our students.
We the members of NES & SVB group would be dedicating the academic year 2010-11 to 'Research, Training and Inspection'. We would promote this annual theme through all our activities, organized at the college level, during the academic year.
The key aspects of SVBCP can thus be summarized as we stand for academic excellence and quality education of our student pharmacists beyond the curriculum resulting in self realization and transformation within the framework of modern teaching programs, advanced technologies and through other personality development aspects.
In our pursuit of transformation through quality education, we welcome all the constructive suggestions and strategic ideas.
India would soon stand at the fore front of cutting edge advances in various branches of pharmaceutical sciences and technology. It should be our endeavor and determination to become a nation of creators and not just remain consumers of new knowledge in science and technology.
