Commencing in 1983, Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan, the Managing Trust, has now gone long way introducing professional education, one after another. While within the 10th year of its existence, it opened the College of Pharmacy ( B.Pharm ) in 1983 and added thereto 2 disciplines of M.Pharm education, its ever enthusiastic zeal for advancement in professional education is sure to introduce other disciplines of M.Pharm. and, to cap it all, with a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy too. Not alone in Pharmacy its admiration for quality and urge for professional education has also brought into being a composite sector of learning in Teacher's Education by introducing ECCEd, D.I.Ed and B.Ed. No wonder, the college will introduce, in no too distant a future, a Masters degree in Education. A thirst in professional education enshrined with unparallel quality, being the cell of the day, unless a country masters in these 2 concepts, it. Will definitely go to a back burner in the world history.
The Management is now on emergency footing to nurture our students as leaders, not alone within the country but also across the world. With this philosophy, the annual theme adopted for the year 2008-2009, is, "Educating for Excellence in Global Career". I expect that student's of my college of Pharmacy will reply this challenge, attaining global career.
Pharmaceutical Sciences study has undergone enormous changes form those existing in the later part of 80's. These changes are phenomenal with the evolutions of this concept in medicinal world. It Is believed that with the passage of more and more time, Pharmacy will practically capture, the entire gamut of world health, and so, the need for excellence in study of Pharmacy.
Within a span of 15 year, the college started giving excellent results in University Examinations, even producing 100% results and merit ranks every year. Beyond academics, it has also, established its mark among the Pharmacy Colleges in the state and Pharmaceutical Companies around, by organizing contests, seminars, workshops, placement exercises and so on. In its quest to rein the international Pharmacy field the college has created tie-ups with renowned Pharmacy institution in USA and also with Cambridge University UK, ABE of UK and IB Programme for general International Education to empower our students with world-class excellence. World education is now the most cherished mission of the college and of the managing body, which is the only means to thrive in the world. The credentials of quality, conferred through IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in 2007 ( NES / SVB ) group is a major step in this direction.
I assure you students and also their parents that the college will turn over brilliant Pharmacy scientists, if the students contribute their mite for their own development in the college.
